The military heritage

A museum in memory of the freedom battles of the pocket of Colmar (winter 1944-1945) is installed in an 18th century « caveau » (cellar) used as a shelter by the inhabitants of Turckheim during World War Two. This museum shows the dreadful events that happened for two long months in the Colmar area with the actors of those battles and the materials used at that time. You'll find there an impressive collection of objects, military materials or mechanical instruments.

Opening hours :

The museum is open :

From April 15th to October 15th
from Wednesday to Saturday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Sundays from 10 to 12 a.m. and 2 to 6 p.m.

From July 1st to September 30th
also open on Mondays and Tuesdays from 2 to 6 p.m.
